Saint of the Day, September 10: Saint Thomas of Villanova
St. Thomas of Villanova (1488-1555): Thomas was an Augustinian friar that suffered from absentmindedness and poor memory. As the Archbishop of Granada, he gave meals and money to hundreds of poor who came to his door each morning. He took in orphans, and even paid his servants for every deserted child they brought to him. He is known as the Model of Bishops.
