Vatican Radio: Israeli Embassy in Cairo attacked

In another sign that the Arab Spring is not completely smooth sailing, Vatican Radio reports today that the Israeli ambassador was forced to fly home today after the Israeli embassy was attacked by a mob, 30 of home managed to break into the building. Relations between Israel and Egypt have been especially strained after an incident in which Egyptian police were caught in crossfire between fleeing Palestinian terrorists and advancing Israeli troops. Five Egyptian border guards died in the exchange of fire, heightening anti-Israel sentiment in Egypt and causing the Egyptian government to briefly threaten recalling its envoy to Israel.
