Daily Mail: Sparrows' birdsong is not what it seems - they're actually trading insults

Up and coming hip hop stars hone their skills in one-on-one contests where they trade insults in rhyme against a music background until one is judged the winner.

Now it appears that songbirds are doing something very similar.

The sweet chorus of chirping sparrows may be a welcome sound in millions of gardens but they are actually swapping insults with each other like battling rappers, new research reveals.
