Saint of the Day, August 10: St. Lawrence

Saint Lawrence:  Likely a native of Spain, Lawrence became one of the seven deacons of the Roman Church, and distributed alms from the monastery of St. Cyriaca. He was one of the most honored of Roman martyrs.
