Saint of the Day, August 25: King Saint Louis of France

King St. Louis of France (1214-1270): Louis became the King of France at age eleven and ruled for forty-four years. He promoted Christianity in France, established religious foundations, built hospitals, and collected relics. He died while leading his second crusade.
