Tightening the net: Clues emerge in collar-bomb case

Students at a prestigious Sydney school, one with close links to Madeleine Pulver, were encouraged last year to read the book whose main character's name is the alias of the collar-bomb extortionist. Madeleine's brothers and several male friends attend Sydney Church of England Grammar, which recommended last year that its students read the 1966 James Clavell novel Tai-Pan that is at the center of the investigation.
