Sad meerkat is kicked out by clan

A LONELY meerkat rejected by his family because he was born out of "wedlock" has become a zoo's star attraction.

Little Aleksandr, just 4½ weeks old, was booted out of his clan after he was born from an illicit fling involving the group's "nanny" figure.

Now so many visitors are flocking to see the super-cute critter that bosses at Devon's Exmoor Zoo have employed a full-time worker to supervise the crowds.

Glad there was a happy ending for the little critter.
