Libyan rebels enter Gaddafi stronghold
Libyan rebels begin their assault on Bani Walid as the window for a negotiated surrender has expired. The town, a rebel stronghold, was rumored several times to be on the verge of surrender, and rebel forces had hoped to avoid bloodshed. It will be interesting to see what they find there. There are rumors that high-ranking Gaddafi officials are holed up there. But then, rumors in Libya are cheap at the moment. The last account I heard was that rebels are within 2km of the city center. I suppose this is a rumor too. We wait and we watch and we'll see
