Indian Bishops invite Pope Benedict XVI to visit country

Vatican Insider reports that Cardinal Telesphore Toppo has invited Pope Benedict XVI to India; the invitation came following his greeting to the Pope during the Ad Limina visit of bishops from the North-Eastern States of India in May. This news has only come to light now because it was not entered into the official record at the time. The Pope stated that he would like to go "if my health permits."
