Saint of the Day, August 21: Pope Saint Pius X
Pope St. Pius X (1835-1903): As the Holy Father, Pius issued decrees on early and frequent Communion and reformed the liturgy. He revised the Breviary and the Catechism, and codified Canon Law. He also encouraged all the faithful to read the Bible.
