AsiaNews: Bani Walid surrenders

AsiaNews is reporting that  National Transitional Council (NTC) forces have entered the town of Bani Walid, Libya, without a fight, in a reversal of yesterday's reports that talks between town leaders and the NTC had broken down. The report also highlights rumors that Muammar Gaddafi might have fled Libya for Niger:

A military source in Niger reported that '"persistent rumours speak of the presence of Moammar Gaddafi or one of his sons in the convoy" of more than 200 heavily armed military vehicles, which passed overnight from Libya into Agadez, in central Niger. The convoy, according to local press sources, is directed towards the capital Niamey.
