Saint of the Day, September 7: Bl. Frederick Ozanam
Bl. Frederick Ozanam (1813-1853): Frederick was born in Italy but raised in France. When he was eighteen, he published his first book, a refutation of socialism, and he went to Paris to study law. There he founded the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. After earning doctorates in both law and literature, he married and became a parent.
