The secretary of the Council of Catholic Analysts of Mexico, Guillermo Gazanini Espinoza, said politicians and the government are to blame for the recent attack on the Casino Royale in Monterrey.

The blood of the victims is on the hands of those who, instead of taking action, have sought positions of power and have neglected the task of reforming the police force, which is steeped in corruption, Gazanini continued.
On Aug. 25, a group of armed men stormed the Casino Royale during peak hours and set the building on fire.
